Portfolio - Cinematics

Mortal Kombat vs DC Universe - Story Mode Movie - While there are no second-string characters in MK vs DC, few carry the legacy and stature of the thunder god Raiden. I addressed Raiden's entrance into this cinematic with the powerful sound design that his character demands and music edits that accentuate the climax of the scene.

Blitz: The League II - Team Captain Movie - The team captain movies introduce upcoming opponents to the player during the game's campaign mode. The Blitz franchise is an unapologetic combination of football and adrenaline, and I followed the action and big hits of these cinematics with high-impact, bone-crunching sound design.

SimCity Societies - Intro - The music and sound design for this intro movie accentuate the many societies available to the player during the course of the game. I provided musical and sound fx direction for the intro movie as well as final engineering to meet the movie's primary goal of inspiring creativity within the player given the wide range of possibilities.

Portfolio - Music

SimCity Societies: Destinations - Caribbean Theme
With this theme, I evoked the core spirit of Destinations with an upbeat Caribbean feel and an arrangement fitting for a small street band.

SimCity Societies: Destinations - Adventure Theme

To enhance the feeling of jungle adventure destinations, I drew inspiration from the percussive music of Africa and flute music of the Andes.

SimCity Societies: Destinations - Fantasy Themes

The fantasy setting of Destinations called for a combination of fairy tales and adventure. Combining these feelings musically resulted in songs that are playful while conjuring visions of far away places.

48-Hour Film Project - Main Theme

This theme was written for the 48-Hour Film Project entry Talk it Out. The music for this psychological thriller was written and produced in less than 2 hours at the tail end of the project.

Portfolio - Sound Design

SimCity Societies - Building Sounds - The most prominent "characters" of a city building game are its buildings and structures. Even though SimCity Societies included hundreds of buildings, I was determined to make each one unique with its own personality. The resulting sounds were a diverse collection of actions and ambience.

Sound list: Alien Artifact Lab, City Bistro, Civil Defense Tower, Coal Plant, Cryogenic Prison, Defense Lab, Dungeon, Electric Pet Shop, Flea Market, Foundry, Hall of Records, Karaoke Bar, Monastery, Racetrack, Recording Studio, Re-education Center, Sleep Tubes, Stock Exchange, Televangelist Studio, TV Station

Portfolio - Voiceover

SimCity Societies - Resident Sims - Second only to the buildings, it is the Sims who give life to the SimCity franchise. They must have recognizable personality while adhering to a strict mandate of "No English Allowed". After directing and engineering the voiceover sessions for our in-house and contracted voice talent, I edited and implemented the final in-game assets.

Character list: Spring Breaker, Concierge, Burnout, Doctor, Executive, Dracula

Caesar IV - Citizens and Narration - The Caesar franchise has more personality than your average city builder and it shined through in the voiceover work on Caesar IV. I engineered and edited the final voice assets in Caesar IV and provided the voice of the game's narrator. A talented troupe of voice actors and a well-written script helped us achieve excellent results.

Character list: Furniture Maker, Soldier, Chief Advisor, Scenario Narrator
